This is a fair question, and one that's worth asking any financial advisor you work with. Harris Federal Financial Advisors is paid based on the percentage of assets we manage for you. If you roll your TSP into an account we manage, then we take a small percentage of that balance each year. It's typically around 1%. Our incentives and interests are aligned with yours. The goal is to grow and protect your money, not just move it around.

Additionally, if you were to purchase a financial product through us, like life insurance, we're typically paid an initial commission by the issuing company. But remember, as fiduciaries, we are obligated to only offer products and guidance in your best interests.

There's no charge for the initial consultation, and there's no obligation to move anything over or commit to anything. You can have the conversation, get clarity on your options, and go from there.
